Premiata Casa del Parmigiano, owned by the Gastaldello family, opened in 1969 thanks to Luigi's forward-looking enthusiasm and uncompromising love for excellence.
Today, this established family business is a highly specialised shop in Marostica, in the province of Vicenza, North-Eastern Italy, an important crossroads of trade with Austria, Germany and Eastern Europe.
Marostica hosts many other successful events such as the Cherry Festival (the town is the headquarters of the National Association of Cherry Towns, its cherries were the first in Italy to be awarded PGI status), the international graphic humour exhibition Umoristi a Marostica, the Autunno Musicale and so much more. It is surely worth a visit.
Overlooking the celebrated Chess Square, our shop has been for over half a century a landmark for quality conscious locals and for the great many tourists looking for rare treats to take back home. In 2010, to honour the history of our trade and the work of the people involved, Premiata Casa del Parmigiano became Famiglia Gastaldello dal 1969.
