Extraordinary cheese to be served hot
French cheese made from cow's milk in the Doubs department in eastern France. The production area is in particular that around Cléron, a small town from which the cheese also takes its name.
Edel de Cléron is wrapped in a natural pine bark from the Jura mountains that gives it a very original aroma and has an edible gray-brown rind while the inside is pale straw-colored and very creamy. This cheese is a close "relative" of the more famous Mont d'Or and is enhanced when served hot, after putting it in the oven in its box.
Although it is produced all year round, it sees its maximum expression in the period from early autumn to late winter. Have a good tasting!
