Extremely rare and complex wine, produced in only 8,400 bottles...
Robert Parker gave this 1955 wine, bottled in 2014, a score of 98/100
Wine produced in southern Spain and obtained from "Pedro Ximenez" grapes harvested at the end of summer and subsequently left to dry on large mats placed in open-air fields.
Important bottle to be tasted "tout court" or in combination with good dark chocolate or with very tasty blue cheeses (Cabrales, Roquefort, etc ...)
The Toro Albalà company boasts a centuries-old history and today it is fully classified among the 100 best wineries in Spain. Cellar and vineyards are located in Aguilar de la Frontera, in Andalusia, near Cordoba, between the banks of the Guadalquivir river and at the foot of the Sierra Morena.
A particularly suitable area that offers grapes of the highest quality, among which the Pedro Ximenez variety stands out, by far the sweetest in nature. An almost maniacal selection of the bunches and the competence in the production then give the enthusiasts bottles of great value.
