The most popular and appreciated version of the typical Sienese cake is precisely that of the white panforte or Margherita, named in honor of the visit that the then Queen Margherita gave to the city of Siena in 1879, the year the ancient Manganelli grocery store opened.
The recipe based on almonds, honey, candied fruit and spices manages to impress everyone thanks to the latter which represent for our production the flagship of the products made: it is in fact the original blend that provides the product with the authentic taste and unmistakable.

It differs from black gingerbread or gingerbread, but bearing the IGP mark in the same way, being a sweeter and more lovable version, therefore more appreciated by people, a necessary recommendation: to keep the gingerbread you must not put it in the fridge! It must be put back in the package with which it is received, the spices will then act as a natural preservative for the next few months before the expiry date.
